Measuring Up: young people’s emotional and mental health, gathering the evidence about what works project (MUp)
MUp is a social research project, which aims to gather evidence of the effectiveness for young people with emotional and mental health needs, of counselling offered in combination with Information, Advice and other Support Services.
Of particular interest is the important contribution voluntary sector youth counselling in combination with IAS can make to supporting young people with depression and promoting their well-being in young person-centered settings.
Youth Access has secured £500,000 for the second phase of this study but is looking to raise another £700,000 to run the randomized trail.
