Rights to Access Project
Between February 2005 and January 2008 our advice development work was funded by a Big Lottery Fund strategic grant under the title of the Rights to Access Project (RAP). RAP worked with advice agencies, youth services and policy makers to develop young people’s access to high quality legal advice services.
The project’s main activities included:
- Development of the first ever national Youth Advice Training Programme
- Piloting and evaluating specialist legal advice models
- Capturing and disseminating evidence of good practice
- Supporting mainstream agencies to improve their accessibility to young people
- Supporting youth services to develop new services and the quality of their advice
- Improving awareness amongst policy makers, planners and funders of young people’s needs
