As the election approaches and public sector funding looks set to decrease from 2011, this residential event aims to assist managers of YIACS to increase their services’ ability to weather and survive the next few years.
We will focus on:
- Understanding how you can ‘sell’ your organisation in a marketplace where competition for resources means competing for attention, recognition and profile
- Using the marketing, communications and branding techniques employed by larger bodies to build confidence and understanding amongst commissioners and funders
- Developing effective campaigning work with local policy makers and elected members.
About Youth Access Coordinators’ events:
This event is one of a series of national meetings for service managers, exclusively for Youth Access members. They are facilitated events combining a mix of inputs from presenters with activities for participants, as well as opportunities to share and network with colleagues from across the country.
This event is taking place at the Woodbrooke Centre, Edgbaston which offers a peaceful and comfortable setting, a short distance from the centre of Birmingham .

The cost includes:
Day 1 – Lunch, Dinner, refreshments and overnight accommodation.
