Diploma qualified counsellors, experienced in counselling young people, wishing to become counselling supervisors. You must have previously completed Becoming a Supervisor part 1. .

Aim:
For experienced youth counsellors to develop a comprehensive understanding of the purpose, tasks and methods of clinical supervision. To practice skills development through use of Supervision process models, and identify next steps in becoming a supervisor of young people’s counsellors.
Course Structure:
This course consists of 6 days of facilitated workshops, delivered in 2 day modules over a period of 6 months using interactive training methods, including trainer input, small group discussions, experiential work and the use of a workbook containing background information, frameworks, exercises and action planning tools.
Participants will be encouraged to do some pre-course reading. Those wishing to take forward credits from the course will produce a post training, written assignment of a case study illustrating key aspects of supervising counsellors working with young people

Trainer:
Carolyn Mumby has over twenty years experience within the field of youth work, counselling, project development, project management and training. She is a qualified youth and community worker, counsellor, leadership coach, and trainer and an experienced casework supervisor and consultant.
