Good Practice in Case Recording

Suitable for:
Youth advice agencies who are wanting to develop their case recording and file management procedures.
Course structure:
A 3-hour interactive workshop involving relevant staff in your organisation, usually managers, and advice practitioners.
Aims:
This workshop aims to facilitate agencies in re assessing their case recording by bringing relevant staff together to understand why they case record and look at ways of improving their practice.
Learning Outcomes:
- To be able to understand the differences between legal advice and other forms of information, advice and support
- To gain an understanding of the skills and knowledge required in providing casework
- To know WHY, WHAT, WHEN and HOW we case record
- To be able to write concise and appropriate case records
- To have an understanding of different methods of assessing the quality of advice
