Monitoring the Outcomes of Advice Work with Young People - New Course

Suitable for:
Managers and senior practitioners in advice agencies wanting to improve the way they measure the outcomes they’re achieving for young people

Aim:
This seminar aims to assist participants in identifying the most appropriate methods and tools to use in their agencies for monitoring youth advice outcomes

Course structure:
A half-day interactive seminar

Learning outcomes:
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic concepts regarding outcomes monitoring
  • Have greater clarity regarding what they would be seeking to achieve through a youth advice outcome monitoring exercise
  • Recognise the potential benefits for their agency from possessing good outcomes data – and the resources required to achieve this
  • Identify appropriate methods for their agency to use to monitor the outcomes of their advice work with young people, as well as potential difficulties and methodological issues that need to be considered
  • Decide whether any of the existing outcome tools (including Youth Access’ newly revised Youth Advice Outcomes Monitoring Toolkit) are suitable for their agency or whether they need to develop something tailor-made.
