We offer a number of courses aimed at improving the ability of practitioners in the sector to provide good quality advice to young people on their rights, entitlements and options.
As well as running ‘open’ courses, as listed in our regular training programmes, we are able to deliver courses in-house. This means we are able to deliver these, at a location of your choice, just for your staff, for a fixed price.
Over the last 3 years, as well as running regular open courses here at Youth Access, we have delivered our advice courses in 17 different areas of Britain, including the South West, the South East, the Midlands, the North East, the North West, Wales and Jersey. We can also deliver training in your region. If you are able to provide a minimum of 6 participants and a venue, we will provide your organisation with 2 free places and will take responsibility for the marketing of the course to our contacts in your region.
Courses we can offer include:
- Young People's Rights within the Education System - A Practical Approach to Advice
- Improving Advice Skills
- Advising Young People on Housing and Homelessness
- Challenging Decisions for Homeless Young People
- Welfare Benefits and Young People
- Welfare Benefits 2 - Beyond the Basics
Most of the above courses are available as either in-house or regional open courses, for further information please contact: Helen Stollar on 0208 772 9900 x26 helen@youthaccess.org.uk
