21st October - Youth Access, London

Course Structure: The developmental and maturational stage called 'adolescence' makes great demands on young people, who are called upon by their families/carers and society at large to manage the tasks of working through the enormous upheavals in their inner and outer worlds. This one-day workshop aims to investigate the challenges to young people's mental and emotional health during adolescence to increase our ability to tailor our interventions most appropriately to their individual developmental needs and concerns. • Explored concepts of mental health and mental ill health in adolescence
  • Examined advancements in medical research which inform our understanding of mental health and brain development in adolescence
