Calculating your membership fee
1. Refer to the price chart and check the cost of membership against the month in which you are joining. Note: Your membership will commence from the first day of the month in which it was received. If this is after the 20th of the month it will commence on the first day of the following month.
2. If applying for organisational membership, refer to the column which shows the number of staff your organisation employs. Note: This is specific to your particular branch or site.
3. All prices are inclusive of VAT. 57% of the membership fee is standard rated for VAT; the remaining 43% is zero-rated for VAT.
4. More than one branch? If your organisation has more than one branch, we charge our top rate of £130 to the head office or main agency, and all branches are covered by membership and receive full membership benefits (including discounts on training).
Membership examples
1. In February, a local YIAC employing 3 full time 2 half-time (paid) staff wants to join as an organisational member.
Their membership: They employ an equivalent of 4 full-time paid staff, so would choose the column for under 5 staff. As they are joining in February, they would pay £100.00 and receive 14 months’ membership for the price of 12.
2. A Principal Youth Office is based at a local youth office, and has responsibility for 2 youth information projects in the local area. The PYO wants to keep up to date with relevant issues relating to the sector, and wants staff at the local projects to have full access to Youth Access benefits. Each local project employs 10 full time paid staff. They are looking to join in April.
Their membership: The PYO would take out 1 organisational membership at £130.00, this would cover the youth office plus all staff at the two local projects.
