‘On the Right tracks’ (OtRt)
On the Right tracks is a 2-year project funded by Comic Relief that aims to enable youth counselling agencies to:
- Improve their knowledge and understanding of quality frameworks
- Strengthen their understanding and capacity to measurecounselling outcomes
- Support the building of strategic relationships with funders
And:
- Increase funders and commissioners understanding of the quality and effectiveness of youth counselling agencies in meeting the mental health needs of young people
To support this initiative Youth Access will offer a package of information, training, tools and support.
On the Right tracks intends to support youth counselling agencies to:
- Be in a stronger position to protect and extend their funding • Improve the quality of their practice against recognised national standards
- Increase their ability to evidence improvements in mental health outcomes for young people engaged in counselling
- Better inform public sector commissioners of psychological therapies, particularly counselling for young people aged 16-25 years
