Youth Access calls for no discrimination against Children and Young People
30 April, 2009
Youth Access has joined with a coalition of children’s and young people’s charities to call upon the Government to fully protect children and young people from age discrimination.
The Young Equals coalition, whose members include the Children’s Rights Alliance for England, The Children’s Society and Save the Children as well as Youth Access, has published Making the Case, whichstrongly refutes this claim and questions why the Government is really failing to extend legal protection from age discrimination to under-18s. This dossier of evidence brings together a wide range of examples of discrimination against children and young people.
Making the Case can be downloaded from our website, where you can also read the Young Equals media release. Please draw these to the attention of your local Member of Parliament and ask them to support Parliamentary efforts to end all age discrimination against children and young people.
