This report presents the findings of the Youth Access Counselling and Workforce Development project’s (funded by CWDC) mapping of the current counselling workforce in YIACS. The results of the national survey, consultation and seminar conducted with managers, practitioners and young people provides a profile of the workforce, young people’s experience of counselling services and recommendations to improve training and workforce planning to help strengthen YIACS position in the commissioning of specialist and targeted counselling services.
