Shailen is a Chartered Accountant and senior business leader with broad experience across finance, strategy, transformation and governance. He has spent his career in financial services and currently works for a major global bank, where he has held senior roles advising executive leadership teams and leading complex programmes spanning organisational transformation, risk, performance and commercial management.
Alongside his professional career, Shailen has a longstanding commitment to widening opportunity and creating more inclusive organisations. He has held senior voluntary leadership roles focused on inclusion and social mobility, leading large colleague networks, establishing mentoring programmes and developing partnerships with community organisations to help young people build skills, confidence and access to professional opportunities.
Outside of work, Shailen is a proud father of three children and enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. A keen runner, he has completed several marathons and enjoys the challenge and sense of achievement that comes with long-distance running. He is an avid football fan, an enthusiastic chess player and enjoys travelling and discovering new places with his family.
