Staff team
Jessica is our Community Communications Lead. Joining the team in January 2022, she leads our communication output, making sure that our members are kept up to date and that their voices are heard.
After studying Sociology (MA) at Lancaster University, Jessica specializes in challenging inequalities and communicating complex issues such as climate change and social justice. She also has experience working with widening participation groups through outreach projects, and with activist groups & environmental organizations.
Before joining Youth Access, Jessica’s previous roles included teaching young people in the UK and overseas, working in a communications role for an environmental organization and for a students’ union to inspire positive change.
In her free time, you’ll find Jess, camera in hand, enjoying the great outdoors. When she’s not enjoying life behind the camera lens, Jessica loves travel, kayaking, snowboarding and her Golden Retriever, Whiskey!
