Back in February, we collaborated with Youth Advisors and our member organisation, No5 Young People in Reading to ensure young people can have their say about the changes they want to see.
We asked young people at our member services to share the key issues impacting young people's mental health and wellbeing, and what messages they would want to give the next Government. Young people from 11 of Youth Access’ member services, located across the country, took part and spoke out. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared their insights and helped shape our three key policy asks for the next Government!

Youth Advisors, Kyra and Ryan, have created a zine to share what we did, what we heard from young people who shared their insights with us and how we acted on this.
Check out the zine here, and please share it with all who participated.
Our key policy asks take a solution focused approach to the key issues facing young people.
Young people shared with us that their lives and futures are being impacted by the cost-of-living crisis, overstretched support services, limited opportunities, and escalating money, education and social pressures, leaving them feeling powerless.
Though the current situation can at times feel hopeless to young people, it doesn’t have to be this way. Collectively with Youth Access members and the young people they work alongside, we have set out the actions the Government can take to ensure that all young people can have confidence and control over their own lives.
We urge political parties to pledge to take these steps to protect the mental health and wellbeing of current and future generations. This is the chance and now is the time to seize it!
