Guest speakers
Olivia Hammond, a Romani Gypsy woman from Lancashire, is the Community Advocacy Caseworker at The Traveller Movement, where she supports community members with education and discrimination issues. Previously, she worked as a business studies and marketing teacher at a college. Her dual experience as both an educator and a member of the Romani Gypsy community gives her a unique insight into the challenges faced by Romani Gypsy, Roma, and Irish Traveller people in education. Olivia is deeply committed to driving change, advocating for inclusivity, and empowering her community to overcome barriers and access equal opportunities.
