What does the Rights-based approach to mental health look like?

It's World Mental Health Day on October 10th 2023 and this year's theme is 'Mental health is a universal human right'. This theme resonates with us as it's something our member's services embody every day. Back in 2022 we worked with hundreds of young people across England to sets out six key changes needed to make their rights a reality. You can take a look at the Make Our Rights Reality manifesto they created here. The four key principles of a system that meets our mental health rights are availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality. We want to hear from you. What does 'Mental health is a universal human right' mean to you? And how do you embed the rights-based approach to mental health into your practice?
