Hi this is Julie from the What? Centre is Stourbridge. Our contract has recently been moved from Dudley to a Black Country contract and this has had a devastating effect on young people who had self-referred into our service because last year over 500 young people self-referred. If anyone has any evidence around how not being able to self-refer affects clients that would be useful I know that Youth Access has some information about this as well. Also under the new contract we have moved from a traffic light system of up to 12 session to up to 7 sessions. Are others experiencing the same? Our Local Authority are calling Health to a Scrutiny Committee asking why they have made the decisions around self referrals and numbers of sessions.
