Young Persons Advisory Service: Data monitoring project

YPAS, a Liverpool-based member, shares its successful and innovative data monitoring system.

YPAS has invested in a bespoke IAPTUS data system to capture the different types of data required by funders.

The system has improved staff efficiency and reduced the number of young people missing appointments thanks to a text reminder function.

The IAPTUS system has enabled YPAS to submit data to the national Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS), and this attracted increased investment from both CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups) and NHS England.

Impact so far

The ability to generate quality data in order to demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of its interventions has also enabled YPAS to bid for large contracts. These significantly improved access to early intervention and provision via Youth Information, Advice and Counselling Services (YIACS) across Liverpool for people aged five to 25.
