Another way: Defining the functions & characteristics of YIACS

This publication also sets out some ‘Additional’ functions that may be incorporated into the model to increase its responsiveness to young people’s needs.

'Another way' was developed as part of our Department of Health and Social Care funded IQ Project which supports a new vision for young people’s mental health and wellbeing; one in which accessible, self-referral YIACS are a key part of every local offer. 

In addition to this guide, our consultations with young people, providers and commissioners have also informed the development of a range of complementary resources, including:
