Our Minds Our Future programme

Our Minds Our Future is a five-year long programme, running from 2019-2024, and is being funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Overview

Young campaigners from across the UK have united to call for a transformational change to the mental health system so that it puts young people’s needs and rights at the centre. Supported by charities in each nation of the UK, almost 2,000 young people, who are lived experience experts, have come together to outline their vision for what community-based mental health services should look like.

The partnership, which is coordinated by Youth Access, is made up of the following organisations:

The programme is set out across five different stages – one stage per year:

  1. Support young people to set the agenda
  2. Empower young people to lead change
  3. Co-produce solutions
  4. Develop the quality of services
  5. Capacity-building across Youth Access’ network

Impact so far

All of the activities delivered within this programme directly link with Youth Access’ overall capacity-building work; specifically, advocating for the YIACS model and much-needed investment in these community-based services, as brought to life through our #FundTheHubs.

The Our Minds Our Future partnership has achieved a lot over the last two-and-a-half years. Download our project timeline below, or click here, to find out more!
